Refunds
Last updated: 23 October 2026
Premium is sold by our reseller, Paddle.com, which handles payments, refunds and cancellations. This page explains how that works, and what we promise on top. Paddle's own refund policy and buyer terms also apply, and whichever gives you more rights wins.
Our promise: 14 days, no questions asked
If Premium is not for you, ask for a refund within 14 days of your first payment and you get all of it back. No questions asked. This applies to the first payment of your first Premium subscription, monthly or yearly. When the money is refunded, Premium ends and the app goes back to Free. Nothing you made is deleted.
This promise comes on top of your legal rights below. It never replaces or shortens them, also if you subscribe again later.
Your right of withdrawal (EU, EEA and UK)
If you are a consumer in these countries, the law gives you 14 days from your purchase to withdraw from it. It covers your first subscription payment, not later monthly renewals. Automatic renewals do not start a new withdrawal period in the EU. The UK is introducing a new cancellation period for some renewals, such as yearly ones; once that law applies, you get it.
At checkout, Paddle asks you to agree that Premium starts straight away. Depending on the law, that agreement can end the right of withdrawal once you start using Premium, or it can mean that a withdrawal is refunded minus the part of the period you have already used. Either way, our 14-day promise above refunds all of your first payment, whether or not you have started using Premium, so starting straight away costs you nothing.
Other countries have their own rules (for example 7 days in some). In Switzerland, our 14-day promise above applies. Where your local law gives you more, you get that.
Other times we always refund
- We change or remove something so that Premium becomes clearly worse, and you end your subscription because of it: you get back the unused part of what you prepaid (see the terms, section 9).
- We stop CompanionForge: you get back the unused part of what you prepaid.
- Premium does not work as described and we cannot fix it: you get a refund as consumer law provides.
- You were charged by mistake, or twice.
How to ask
- Use the link in your Paddle receipt email, or go to paddle.net and choose "Request refund". In the EU, Paddle's portal also has a button to withdraw during the 14 days.
- Or write to us at [email protected] with the email address you bought with, and we will arrange it with Paddle.
Refunds go back to the way you paid, at the latest within 14 days of your request. When we turn down a claim, we tell you that you can go to the National Board for Consumer Disputes (ARN) if you are in Sweden. How fast the money shows up depends on your bank or card.
Cancelling is not the same as a refund
You can cancel at any time, using the "Manage subscription" link in your receipt email or at paddle.net. Cancelling stops the next renewal. Premium keeps working until the end of the period you have paid for, then the app goes back to Free, and nothing you made is deleted.
Outside the cases above, cancelling does not refund the rest of the current month or year. If you forgot to cancel before a renewal, write to us anyway: we will look at it kindly.
Renewals
Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. Our 14-day promise is for the first payment. For renewals, your legal rights above apply (such as the UK rule for yearly renewals, once it applies), and Paddle may also refund at its own discretion if you ask within 14 days.
What we cannot refund
What your AI, voice and search services charge you (OpenAI, ElevenLabs, OpenRouter, Google and others). You pay them directly, under their own terms, so ask them.
